January 30, 1937, Joseph Henry Savard and Simonne Desautels become owners of Studio Rivoli, black and white photographic lab located on Saint-Denis Street in Montreal. By 1945, they had moved their business at the Notre-Dame W. Address.
A few years later, Photo Service already employs around one hundred people by offering retail, repair, laboratory and photography school.

After the unexpected death of Joseph Henry in 1961, Simonne continue to manage the business with the help of her three children. The competition intensified, Photo Service focuses in the areas of retail, commercial and institutional.
During this period, Monique Savard, "Miss Savard," runs the business, and twenty years later, his brother Pierre-Henri Savard succeeded her. In 2000, Jean-Charles Savard, son of Pierre-Henri, begins the complete renewal of the store and introduced a digital mini-lab. His sister, Mireille Savard, will ensure the complete management of the lab.
